Corporate Finance Network, Inc. Offers Free Use of Its Web-Based Business Forecast Models

Corporate Finance Network, Inc. (CFN), a provider of web-based business financial planning, valuation and analysis software, offers free use of its five-year forecast models for established, start-up, and early stage businesses.

The current economic recession and nascent recovery, with its complex mix of tight credit conditions and customer demand volatility, underscore the need for businesses to plan their finances beyond their annual operating budgets. The purpose of this CFN initiative is to provide entrepreneurs with a no-cost platform to do that planning quickly and easily, so that they can test the impact of various possible sale volume, profit margin and cash flow scenarios on their balance sheet positions and their owners' wealth.

The CFN models take a top down, CEO-level approach to business financial planning; they forecast financial data at approximately the same level of account detail as an accountant's standard year-end report. The five-year forecast model for established businesses uses the historical financial statements of the businesses being planned as the base; the forecast models for start-up and early stage businesses use SIC code financial data as the starting point for developing custom plans.

Each of the forecast models generates the following presentation-quality reports:

Corporate Finance Network, Inc. Offers Its Version of Software-Plus-Service.

Corporate Finance Network, Inc. (CFN), a provider of web-based strategic financial management software - an application category missing from QuickBooks, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics GP and other leading accounting software suites - announces its version of software-plus-service.

Under this program, and using its business financial planning software as the platform, CFN offers confidential, collaborative, one-on-one WebEx online sessions - with a Corpfin.Net expert on the telephone and at the keyboard - to assist business people in creating, analyzing and revising financial plans and strategies for start-up and established businesses. Sessions last approximately one-half hour.

Start-Up Businesses

For start-up businesses, sessions involve creating a five-year plan using SIC code financial data as a starting point in developing a custom plan; and monthly plans for the first year of operations.

For the five-year plan, output created during a session includes: a narrative report describing the forecast results; forecasted annual income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements; and reports documenting the key assumptions underlying the forecast, and forecasted financial ratio data and statistics used to evaluate financial performance. For the first year monthly plans, the output is similar, but on a monthly basis.

Established Businesses

For established businesses, sessions involve creating five-year plan using the historical financial statements of the business being planned as the base (entered by CFN prior to the session); and either an estimated LBO valuation or private equity placement analysis of the business.

For the five-year plan, output created during a session includes: a narrative report describing the forecast results; actual and forecasted annual income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements; and reports documenting the key assumptions underlying the forecast, and actual and forecasted financial ratio data and statistics used to evaluate financial performance.

For the LBO business valuation, output created during the session includes: a narrative report describing the valuation methodology and results; a report detailing the key assumptions underlying the valuation; annual income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements - showing the actual and forecasted financial performance of the business prior to and after the theoretical LBO transaction; and actual and forecasted financial ratio data and statistics used to evaluate financial performance.

For the private equity placement analysis, output created during the session includes: a narrative report describing the methodology and results of the analysis; a report including the details of the theoretical private equity placement; annual income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements - showing the actual and forecasted financial performance of the business prior to and after the theoretical private equity placement; and actual and forecasted financial ratio data and statistics used to evaluate financial performance.

Pricing

Subsequent to either a start-up or established business session, if a meeting participant decides not to become a member of CFN, the information developed during the session is erased and the individual has absolutely no obligation to CFN.

If a meeting participant wishes to preserve the plans and analyses generated during an online session, she can become a member of CFN and all of the information generated during the session is transferred to her CFN online account for further review and revision. The cost of doing so is $150 for a start-up session and $250.00 for an established business session. In addition and in both cases, individuals receive 60 days of product support from the date of membership and full use of all of the models on the site. Those wishing to remain a member after 60 days can extend their membership for $100.00 per quarter.
